9 years, and many losses later, I watched the last U.S troops come into Kuwait and then the gate was closed. Such a simple action after years of pain. I wish the Iraqi interrupters well, they are unsung heros and it's unfortunate that their future is so uncertain.
This is all very bittersweet and somewhat surreal.
